What your month looks like

• Work, uninterrupted. Fibre internet and a proper desk — from a rental with genuinely good wifi, a coworking day pass, or a small coliving if that's your style.
• Mountains at the door. Serre Chevalier's lifts and the Écrins trails, minutes away — before or after your calls.
• The real season. A January month tells you the truth about winter; an October month tells you the truth about the quiet weeks. Both are worth knowing before you sign anything.
• The town, not the postcard. Groceries, the market, the neighbours, the admin — daily life, tested.

Where to stay for a month

• A monthly rental. The most independent option. Easiest in the shoulder seasons (October, May–June); winter is tight and books out months ahead — our housing playbook (coming soon) covers how locals actually find places.
• A small coliving. Briançon has a tight-knit coliving community of remote workers — and it is deliberately small. We don't do booking buttons for it: if living with others around a shared table is your thing, tell us about your month in the form below and we'll say honestly whether it's a fit — and point you somewhere better if it isn't.
• Gîtes and apart-hotels. The family-friendly option, especially outside French school holidays.

Who this is for

Remote workers and families seriously considering a move to the Alps — French or international — who want evidence before they sign anything. If the month convinces you, you'll already have a head start: contacts, neighbourhoods you know, and locals who can help with the next step.
